Why register for ConcernedJournalists.org?
You'll enjoy:
- Exclusive original content
- An interactive calendar to which you can submit journalism events
- The ability to post comments about website content
- Access to insightful conversations among CCJ staff and members about current issues in journalism
- A way to quickly and easily update your membership profile and contact information
A few important notes about site registration:
- If you’re already a CCJ member and choose not to register for ConcernedJournalists.org, your membership status will not be affected. Your profile will remain in our membership directory, and if you signed up for our email list you will continue to receive correspondence from us. However, you will not be able to take advantage of enhanced website functions and exclusive content unless you register.
- Only CCJ members may register. You will not be able to complete the registration process without agreeing to become a member. Membership is free and open to all, but a commitment to certain ideals and values is expected.
How do I become a CCJ member?
Simply complete a registration form. Membership is free and open to anyone who shares the belief that the purpose of journalism is to produce accurate information on behalf of citizens – and that certain principles and standards must guide the responsible practice of journalism. Membership is a commitment to upholding the ideals and values of accurate, citizen-focused journalism.
I’m already a CCJ member but have not registered yet. What should I do?
We recently e-mailed information on how to register on ConcernedJournalists.org to all members for whom we had current contact information. If you did not receive a message from us at the email address you provided when you joined, please complete a registration form and your membership profile will be updated.
I previously signed up for the CCJ email list, but am not a CCJ member. Must I become a member in order to register?
Yes. CCJ membership is a requirement of site registration. If you previously joined our email list but opted not to become a member, you will continue to receive correspondence from us. However, you must become a member by completing a registration form in order to enjoy the benefits outlined above on ConcernedJournalists.org.
