Maureen Athens, Assistant to the Executive Director

Maureen Athens assists Executive Director Jeffrey Dvorkin at The Committee of Concerned Journalists. Her experiences working in news media include interning with CNN at the United Nations under senior correspondent Richard Roth, and with The Greek Press and Information Office for the Greek Permanent Mission to the United Nations and the Greek Consulate General of New York.

Athens lives in Washington, D.C. She earned a master’s degree in Diplomacy and International Relations at The John C. Whitehead School at Seton Hall University in 2005 and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Seton Hall University in 2003.
