Chris Cobler, Interactive Division Publisher - Greeley (CO) Publishing Co., http://greeleytrib.com/article/20070220/BLOG001/70220004/-1/BLOGS, March 1, 2007
In a February 20, 2007 post on his blog, Greeley (CO) Tribune Interactive Publisher Chris Cobler lays out an argument for why all journalists should blog. Cobler believes blogging improves a journalist's writing, helps one better understand her audience, engages the audience, and helps the journalist to better understand the digital world. Blogs also increase the amount of original content on a news organization's website, which Cobler notes is correlated with the financial success of newspaper websites, according to a Harvard University study.

Do you agree with Cobler? If you're a journalist who blogs, do you agree with Cobler's assessment of the reasons why it's a good idea? Are there any you'd add?
If you're a journalist who doesn't blog, and doesn't WANT to blog, why do you feel that way?
